There's a free version, though sometimes for some odd reason it thinks it's a trial, and you have to reinstall. But IMHO it's the best audio converter out there by far.

I have a version of it that is free and i have not had to reinstall it. I got it from the nch website, i'd suggest you go look for it. It's better than any of the converters I've used so far, and it doesn't take as much quality out as other ones do. Also, what I like about it is that you can convert batch files! You can put a whole album in there directly from the menu without even having to open the converter first, and it will convert all 20, or however many songs without you having to restart the converter! The thing about most converters' free trial versions is that you can only do five, or even two, files at a time. i've also seen some that only do part of the song, just to give you a sample of what it would sound like. I chighly recommend it, and it is free! You just have to pay for switch plus, but if all you want is the converter, it's the best, and very easy to use, also extremely jaws friendly! This converter is my best friend because it's been able to convert most of my mostly used filetypes to mp3 in a single click. If you or anyone else want me to help you, or you have any more questions, feel free to try and get a hold of me, i use it all the time and would be more than glad to help you with it!

I love the NCH products. I was suggesting them here about 2 years ago, and they're stil the best.
